Michael Sutherland

I’m a first year NTP student interested in using sleep, anesthesia, and psychedelics to study the neural mechanisms of consciousness. Outside of science, I enjoy running, playing tennis and hockey, and being out in nature.

I joined NTP outreach because I’m passionate about improving scientific communication with the public, sharing interesting and impactful findings, engaging with local communities, and, hopefully, inspiring others to engage in the scientific process in a meaningful capacity.
