Research Description:
My research focus has been at the intersections of sleep and neuropsychiatric disorders, with specific emphasis on hypersomnolence in non–cataplectic disorders of central hypersomnolence. As a practicing physician–scientist in NTP, I have numerous collaborations with other NTP faculty in areas including sleep in Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome, epigenetics and neuroimaging of excessive sleepiness, and applications of high–density EEG in healthy and disordered persons. My laboratory provides a unique transdisciplinary research environment, particularly well–suited for those with clinical and translational neuroscience research interests.
Research Key Words:
Disorders of Hypersomnolence, Neurophysiology, Sleep Medicine
