Research Description:

Mohebi and Associates focus on investigating the neurobiology of cognitive control processes in the mammalian brain. The laboratory pioneers the use and advancement of innovative optical, electrophysiological, and analytical techniques to observe, influence, and understand brain function in rodents during behavioral tasks. We specifically explore the influence of key neuromodulators (dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, and norepinephrine) on ongoing neural activity, and their roles in cognitive functions including motivation, reward learning, attention, and working memory.
