Research Description:
I have been an NIH–funded PI for more than 30 continuous years and have published over 200 peer–reviewed journal articles related to the adaptive and maladaptive expression of emotion and anxiety. I am a board-certified psychiatrist with a clinical practice treating patients suffering from treatment-resistant anxiety and depression alongside a robust translational research program.

As the leader of the laboratory, I have made it a high priority to develop an environment that is supportive of all individuals and strives to maximize diversity.
