Research Description:
The goal of my lab, the Educational Neuroscience Lab, is to investigate questions at the intersection of education and neuroscience. My laboratory uses behavioral and neuroscience methods—including using these methods with developing children and children with atypical development—linking cognitive neuroscience findings with educationally relevant methods and findings.
I have conducted neuroimaging research with human participants for over twenty years. I have conducted fMRI and EEG studies with typically developing adults and children, and individuals with neurodevelopmental abnormalities, including people with synesthesia and with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), resulting in a number of high–impact publications.
