Research Description:

In our lab we focus on understanding brainstem circuits and their critical role in locomotor control. Our team employs cutting-edge techniques to dissect brainstem motor circuits in sophisticated anatomical, molecular, and functional detail. Our work aims to enhance our comprehension of the neural circuitry controlling movement, and offer insights into movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.

Key Words:

Motor control, circuits, brainstem, basal ganglia, spinal cord, Parkinson’s disease

Diversity Statement:

Our team aims to harness the strength of diversity, welcoming individuals from varied backgrounds and skillsets toward an innovative research environment. We aim to provide opportunities for growth and personal development, ensuring that unique perspectives contribute to our pursuit of scientific excellence.
