Research Description:
My research program is focused on improving access to timely detection, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. I currently lead studies investigating (1) feasibility, reliability, and validity of remote/digital cognitive assessment and (2) psychosocial and behavioral outcomes related to learning AD biomarker or cognitive results.
Additionally, I currently lead the Neuropsychology service within the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), am Site PI for a validation study of televideo-based cognitive assessment and provide cognitive expertise as Co-I or site PI for several UW or multi-site studies. Further, I deliver clinical services for older adults in my role as a geriatric neuropsychologist in Madison VA and UW geriatric memory clinics, as well as provide education to medical and psychology students on cognitive assessment and dementia diagnosis.
