The Neuroscience Training Program would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the McPherson Eye Research Institute (MERI) for their generous support which will make it possible for the NTP students to participate in the PEOPLE (Precollege Enrichment Opportunity Program for Learning Excellence) Program during the 2025 Summer sessions. This much-needed support from MERI is highly appreciated at a time of financial constraints and budget cuts to our program.
Renowned for its world-class, multidisciplinary research in vision science, MERI plays a vital role in advancing our understanding of sight and eye health. This contribution from MERI ensures that our NTP students are able to fulfill their teaching requirements as well as the program’s goals to disseminate interest and enhance understanding of neuroscience to future generations of scientists. NTP’s ongoing support and participation in the PEOPLE Program is just one of the ways that we can continue to maintain engagement in our community.
