NTP Student Recipients of ICTR’s TL1 Training Awards

NTP is proud to announce the recipients of the 2023 UW Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR) TL1 Predoctoral Training Program, our two NTP students: Janet Lee (Year 1) and West Roberts (Year 2). Congratulations to Janet and West!

The UW ICTR Predoctoral TL1 Training Award is an NIH-supported educational program with a goal to train future clinical and translational leaders and to expose all UW health-care professionals and engineering students to the scientific foundation of this discipline. This training program builds on strong clinical and translational training programs that already exist in the School of Medicine and Public Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy, College of Engineering, and School of Veterinary Medicine. The award provides support for 2-year mentored research training program in translational science for predoctoral students.

Janet will be working on a project titled “Psychedelic Outcomes: Interaction of Environment and Self-Identity – Supporting Prolonged Likelihood of Unprejudiced Success (POIESIS PLUS)” under the mentorship of Dr. Cody Wenthur.

West will be working on a project titled “White and gray matter microstructure and connectivity changes in the Alzheimer’s Disease Connectome Project” under the mentorship of Dr. Vivek Prabhakaran.

Congratulations again to these students! We look forward to seeing their finished projects!
