Research Description:

I am interested in studying the role of the novel DNA methylation mark known as 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5hmC) and its context in maintaining mental health. In particular, using both bioinformatic and molecular biology approaches, I am interested in finding the true functionality of 5hmC in relation to regulating transcription and its potential role in modulating isoform production.
