Research Description:

The primary goal inspiring my research is to better understand cognitive-emotional brain development in children and adolescents. Using a combination of structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and network-based analysis approaches, my research seeks to deduce the causal mechanism in neural networks underlying the cognitive regulation of emotion, the trajectories of healthy network development during late childhood and adolescence, and how these trajectories are altered by early-life adversity.
