National Institutes of Health Curriculum Workshop

Each summer, the program hosts NIH Curriculum Workshops for K-12 teachers. Generally, one middle school and one high school workshop are held each year. Each workshop covers a brain-related NIH curriculum supplement. The NIH Curriclulum Supplement Series are interactive teaching units that combine cutting-edge science research discoveries from the National Institutes of Health, one of the world's foremost medical research centers, with state-of-the-art instructional materials. Each supplement is a teacher's guide to two weeks' of lessons on science and human health.

The workshops are sponsored by NIH, the Neuroscience Training Program, and Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. They have been held since 2004.
